We manufacture threads with a unique texture and functionality by applying the ``shōsenshi'' technique that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times.

Characteristic

It is an environmentally friendly "natural filament processed yarn" that has the characteristics of natural fiber (Manila hemp) but contains bagasse ingredients.

Manufacturing process

Sugarcane

Sugarcane is Okinawa Prefecture's main crop, and around 1.9 billion tons are produced annually around the world.

sugar factory

Bagasse is produced as a by-product when sugar is manufactured at sugar factories.

Crushing process

Bagasse generated at sugar factories is dried and processed into a fine powder.

Paper making process

Powdered bagasse is mixed with Manila hemp and processed into thin, strong paper.

Slit processing

The thread is cut into thin pieces according to the thread count to be manufactured.

Twisting process

Slit paper is twisted together to produce light and functional paper thread.

Excellent water absorption and quick drying properties

It has the water absorption and quick drying characteristics of paper.

Lightness

The weight is about half that of cotton yarn, giving it a very light finish.

High deodorizing and antibacterial effect

The lignin contained in bagasse also has a strong deodorizing and antibacterial effect.
